TEXAS - Former Majority Leader Dick Armey is backing Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in her race for the governors seat.

Armey was a leading figure in the 1994 Republican revolution and is a leader in the Tea Party movement now.

On Monday, Armey said Hutchison is the person needed in the governor's office to keep Texas strong.
