AUSTIN - Shots were fired Thursday at the Texas state capital in Austin.
Officials believe 24-year-old Fausto Cardenas acted alone.
Cardenas is from the Houston area.
He allegedly dropped his gun after getting off about half a dozen shots.
He reportedly shot his gun after stopping by the office of State Senator Dan Patrick.
He now faces a charge of deadly conduct.
No one was injured in the shooting.
