COLLEGE STATION - A Texas A&M student was fined nearly $22 million for causing a deadly accident in 2007.

A Robertson County jury ruled Wednesday that Jasan Vestal was texting while driving, which caused the wreck.

Phone records show Vestal sent and received 15 text messages, and made seven calls prior to the accident.

The victim of the crash was 21-year-old Baylor student Megan Small, who died after the head-on collision off Texas Highway 6.
