Afghanistan - Wounded soldiers in Afghanistan got their chance to enjoy a holiday meal at Bagram airbase on Thursday.

U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry, a retired commander of american forces, visited with soldiers on Thanksgiving.

And some soldiers were able to send a message to their family telling them not to worry.

Next week, President Obama is expected to announce plans to send more troops to Afghanistan.

The president is reported to be considering an increase of more than 30,000 forces.

71,000 thousand troops are currently in Afghanistan.
