2 men injured in Wednesday night shooting in Killeen

Killeen Police Department is investigating a Wednesday night shooting on Wyoming.

Officers say they responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at the 500 block of Wyoming, just after 8:00 p.m. Upon the officers’ arrival, they met with witnesses that said two black males were involved in a verbal altercation that turned violent after both men exchanged gun fire. They located one gunshot victim at 512 Wyoming. He was then transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center and was subsequently transferred to the Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple. The other gunshot victim was located at 420 Gilmer. He was then transported to the Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Both men are in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured during the altercation.

This case continues to be investigated and more information will be release as it becomes available.
