Waco, Tx (KWKT) — Two teens were taken into custody Sunday night for allegedly sexually assaulting a person.

At 9:30 p.m., the Waco Police Department was contacted by a passerby who had picked up the victim of a sexual assault in north Waco.

Detectives learned the victim had been attacked in a backyard, or alley, near the intersection of 9th and Colcord by two people. The alleged assailants have been identified as Resendo Lara Zapata, 18, and a 15-year-old black male.

Lara-Zapata was taken to the McLennan County Jail, and the juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Center. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
