38 counterfeit bills slip by CSPD and Brazos County Sheriff's Office

COLLEGE STATION -- A man in College Station arrested for public intoxication is arrested again, this time for counterfeit bills.
When 22-year-old Moses Long was first busted earlier this month he had $843 on him.
It was confiscated when he went to jail so when he bonded out they have him a jail-issued debit card in its place.
When an officer went to deposit Long's cash the bank revealed that 38 fake twenty dollar bills had managed to pass through the hands of both the College Station Police Department and the Brazos County Sheriff's Office unnoticed.
"The last place you'd expect to find counterfeit money is in a jail and obviously we were complacent in checking because we wouldn't expect it but we have now been made aware that it is a possibility," said Brazos County Sheriff, Chris Kirk.
Long now faces additional charges of forgery of government money.
