COLLEGE STATION -- Last week Texas A&M unveiled a brand-new look for the upcoming football season and it's creating a lot of buzz on the internet and around Aggieland.
Some good and some not so good so, Lauren Holman, hit the streets today to see what everyone is saying about the new gear.
It seems to be a re-occurring theme at Texas A&M. Out with the old and in with the new: a new coach, a new athletic director, a new conference and now, a new look.
"Everyone is excited about all the different changes happening here in Aggieland," said Lauren Pearce.
After more than 20 years without any major changes the University unveiled the new Adidas TECHFIT uniform on Thursday and it's getting a lot of rave reviews.
"I was super impressed," said A&M student Andrew Cagle. "They look awesome, they look tight and really clean."
Kaitlin Akard says, "It's time to update our look. I know we're all about tradition but sometimes it's better to start fresh."
The design, which pays homage to the jerseys from the '70's, features stripes down the side, the 12th Man logo on the base layer and a newly designed helmet.
"I think it's perfect," said Cagle. "It's a great mix of old tradition and something new that'll take us into a new conference."
But not everyone thinks the uniforms are a hit.
Tyler Bartz says they look too similar to another maroon SEC school.
"I feel like it's kind of a copy of the Alabama uniforms, you know with the stripes down the side," Bartz said. "I wasn't a big fan."
But everyone does seem to agree on one thing...
"The gloves, they're just awesome," said Cagle.
Akard added, "They're pretty sweet, having the big Texas with the A&M in the middle is just awesome."
The uniforms will make their first Kyle Field appearance during the first home game on September 8th when A&M hosts Florida.
