The Bellmead Police Department is still looking for toy donations this Christmas.

About 100 names were hung on the Christmas tree in the lobby of the Bellmead Police Department. Each of those names represents a child in need of someone to donate gifts for christmas. So far, about half of those children have been selected. However, the police department has chosen to make it their duty to ensure every kid has a special Christmas.

"We're here for our citizens and for everybody who needs help. And, a lot of times at Christmas, a lot of people don't want to come up and ask for assistance, you know because they're ashamed or unprepared. But, we like to give the gift of giving and show that we're here for that," said Detective Michael Miller of the Bellmead Police Department.

If you'd like to help out, call or stop by the Bellmead Police Department. Gifts are being accepted until next Wednesday at 5 p.m.
