Body found in Bell County now identified, death ruled a homicide
bell county, tx — Authorities have now identified the body that several hunters discovered of a severely decomposed woman in a Bell County field on Sunday.
Angie Leigh Rogers, 23, of Killeen reportedly died of a gunshot wound, according to the Southwest Institute of Forensics in Dallas. Rogers was reported missing to the Killeen Police Department on July 27.
According to authorities, a call came in on Sunday, August 5, around 8:45 a.m. about the discovery of the body, located around the intersection of Chaparral Road and West Trimmier Road, just south of Killeen.
Authorities determined the body appeared to belong ot a woman. The body was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Bell County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate this case.
