Waco, TX — It was supposed to happen last week, but the big Brazos River I-35 bridge project will begin Monday night.
Starting Monday, and lasting from 7 p.m to 7 a.m until Sunday, crews will be setting beams for the new northbound Brazos River Bridge along Interstate 35.
The northbound auxiliary lane over the river will also be closed, however the exit ramp to MLK Boulevard will remain open.
Traffic looking to go north from University Parks Drive will have to head south to 5th Street and make a U-turn to get on northbound I-35.
Barring bad weather, which is a possibility, the project should be complete by next Monday.
