The City of Waco Solid Waste Service department continues to respond to calls for brush removal as a result of the June storms. As of July 16, a total of 1,570 tons of brush have been collected from 1,201 Work Orders.

New work orders continue to come in, notifying the department of brush at the curb. Depending on what any new storms may generate, currently the department estimates it could take from one to two weeks to clear existing orders. The department continues to work five days a week to collect the storm debris.

Anyone with brush at the curb that has not called in a request for pickup must do so by calling 299-2612 in order for a truck to come to the residence and pick it up.
