Bryan accused of burglarizing home, leads police on foot chase

A Bryan teenager is behind bars for allegedly burglarizing a home and leading police on a short case.

On Tuesday, at 7:56 am, the Bryan Police Department dispatched officers to a burglary in progress on the 3100 block of Heatherwood. A caller told authorities that someone was in the backyard of the house, and that they had spotted a man trying to break into the residence.

When police made it to the scene, the suspect, later identified as Quintarius Jackson, of Bryan, 18, ran from authorities. After a short foot chase, officers arrested Jackson and returned to the property.

Jackson was charged with burglary of habitation, evading, and criminal trespass. He was later booked into the Brazos County Jail on $8,000 bail.
