A convenience store clerk who just finished his shift working was robbed in the parking lot on the way to his car.

Police say 30-year-old Stanturas Perry walked up to the "Fas-Start Markets" clerk around 3:00 a.m. Saturday and asked the man for a lighter.

According to police reports, Perry then pulled a pistol out and put it up against the man's neck and demanded money.

Perry didn't get far before police caught him because the clerk was able to get Perry's license plate number before he took off.

He was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
