Bryan Papa John's robbed at gunpoint

BRYAN -- It's any worker's worst nightmare : being robbed on the clock.
And for one Papa John's Pizza employee that nightmare became a reality Sunday evening.
"We had one employee and then another was actually getting ready to come in," said principal operator, Thomas Allen. "So they came in and caught us at a vulnerable time."
Police say two black men entered the Papa John's, off Highway 21 and Texas Avenue, around 5:00 P.M.. in broad daylight, demanding money.
"One was about 5'8" and the other 5'9". Both of them had ball caps on and had basketball shorts and dark t-shirts," said Officer John Agnew.
The employee handed over the cash and the robbers fled on foot toward Highway 21.
Now police are searching for them.
"One of them had quite a few tattoos on both of his arms which gives us a really good description, which might help aid in catching one of the suspects at least," said Officer Agnew.
Despite Sunday's incident Allen tells us they aren't letting the robbery slow them down.
"They were on video so I'm sure they'll be caught. Our main thing is just to let customers know this is a safe place and we are open for business."
If you have any information about the suspects' whereabouts, call Bryan Police immediately.
