Bryan Police say as many as three men are on the run tonight from authorities after a car-jacking and bank robbery earlier Tuesday.

We're told at around 9:30 Tuesday morning three armed black men assaulted a man and then stole his white Ford Taurus in the 4100 of Oaklawn.

The trio got away but just before 11:00 two men entered the Commerce National Bank on East 29th Street and demanded money.

Police say the pair got away in the same car that was just stolen an hour and a half before the robbery.

Officers later located that vehicle abandoned at the Grove Apartment complex just several blocks away from the bank.

"Officers did converge on the area and do a canvass to try and locate any suspicious activity and now we're talking with bank employees and watching surveillance video to try and piece together all the information," said BPD officer, Kelley McKethan.

One suspect is described as heavy set black male with a mustache wearing a dark T-shirt, blue jeans and baseball cap. The second suspect is described as a male with a medium build wearing grey hoodie with dark pants and had his face covered.

If you have any information about the car-jacking or bank robbery, call police immediately.
