BRYAN -- An armed robbery Sunday morning in Bryan has left a local business shaken while police continue to search for the man responsible.
Lauren Holman takes us back to the scene of the crime where she spoke with an employee who was there and witnessed it all.
It was a quiet Sunday night at the "Taqueria El Napalito" restaurant located off West Martin Luther king Street in Bryan until it was robbed at gunpoint just shortly after three in the morning.
"It was just so scary because there was no one else inside, just me and this other lady, just two girls ya know," said Rosalia Romas. "All of a sudden, I just looked up and there's this guy."
That's when Rosalia Ramos, one of the restaurants employees, says the robber pointed a gun directly at her and then demanded money.
"He went to the cash register and told her to give him the money but she didn't speak English so she was confused, so I went over and was just like give him all the money."
The man then got away on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and police are still searching for him tonight.
"The suspect did have something covering his face so it made it difficult for us to identify him but we are trying to follow up on some leads but currently he is still unknown and at large," said Officer Jon Agnew.
Ramos says this is the first time something like this has ever happened and while the experience was terrifying she says she's just lucky to be alive.
"The money, it comes back and forth ya know, but our life is better than that."
