Caldwell voters turn down $52.7 million bond
CALDWELL -- In Brazos Valley, the people made it clear at the polls this weekend that they are against Caldwell ISD's proposition one.
The $52.7 million bond would have built a new middle school and made major renovations to the other district's campuses but now it's back to the drawing board for Caldwell ISD as they look for other ways to get the voters on their side.
Dr. Janet Cummings says the board will either re-pitch the bond after better informing people about the district's need or consider other package options.
Dr. Cummings hopes to put the issue back on the ballot in November.
