Central Texans react to NFL Draft

WACO -- Taken second overall in the 2012 NFL draft, former Baylor quarterback and Heisman winner Robert Griffin III is heading to D.C.
Now that he's a Redskin, Central Texans may be seeing a lot more burgundy and gold in blue and silver territory.
"I'm super excited about it. I wasn't a Redskins fan at first but now I guess I'm going to have to be," said Ashleyanne Thornhill.
"That's great for our school, good publicity. I think there will be a lot of new Redskins fans around here. I know I'll be a redskins fan now" said Barrett Tomek.
"He's done such a great job at football and he's brought such a good name to Baylor and he's put the university on every sports magazine there is out there and I think that's awesome," said Kasi Kirksey.
But in Cowboy's country, other Central Texans we spoke to are a bit disappointed.
"I mean of course I was upset about it but I would wish it different that he stayed in Texas or went with the Cowboys," said Cameron Longer.
One team the Cowboys don't have to worry too much about, the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans drafted former Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright with the 20th pick.
"I'm a Texans fan so they'll be playing the Texans so it'll be -- but he'll be fun to watch. He's fun to watch anywhere he plays so I think he'll fit in well with the Titans," said Tomek.
"It's really great to see to Baylor Bears have two first round picks and so I'm going to be a Tennessee fan and a Redskins fan now," said Thornhill.
Though Baylor is losing two star players, the feeling left in their wake is still powerful.
"The best word I can use is contagious. You know everybody is doing great. Everybody feels great. It's rubbing off on all sports. It's just a banner year for us," said Tomek.
