Central Texas man indicted for shooting girlfriend

WACO -- A former Axtell student has been indicted for shooting his girlfriend in the head near Hallsburg.

17-year-old James Lee Saulters was indicted Wednesday on an aggravated assault charge for shooting 15-year-old Kaci Greiger in the head in December, with a 22-caliber pistol causing permanent damage.

Greiger is now at a rehab center in Austin and Saulters is free on bond.

Both attended Axtell High School at the time of the shooting.
