The City of Clifton is informing people that no one should drink water from their faucet.

The water may be contaminated and is being tested, which will take at least another 24 hours.

Officials urge the public to use bottled water until the quality of the water is deemed safe. If you can't obtain bottled water, then contact the City of Clifton at 254-675-8337. The city will provide bottled water to those who are housebound or incapable of purchasing their own supply.

The Clifton Fire Department will be driving the streets to announce the situation to keep residents up to date.
