CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coast Guard assisted a disabled vessel taking on water with nine people aboard, 33 miles southeast of Port O'Connor, Sunday.

At 3 a.m Corpus Christi received a distress call from a crewmember aboard the fishing vessel High Class Hooker, stating that they were disabled and taking on water with nine persons onboard.

The Coast Guard dispatched a boatcrew aboard a 45-foot Response Boat Station Port O’Connor, as well as an aircrew aboard a MH-65 Dolphin helicopter and an aircrew aboard a HU-25 Falcon jet from Air Station Corpus Christi.
