Community Health Systems announced Monday that hackers stole information from 4.5 million patients.

Community Health Systems is the parent company of the College Station Medical Center.

The hackers gained access to names, social security numbers, physical address, birthdays, and telephone numbers.

The stolen information puts those affected at a high risk of identity theft.

The company plans to offer identity theft protection to the victims of the data breach.
