College Station, Texas (KWKT) — College Station school board approved a raise in the districts property tax rate on Tuesday.
With the city of College Station already planning a rate hike, that means College Station residents will be getting hit twice.
The 6 cent rise from the school district brings the rate to 1 dollar and 38 cents. The increase means that if your home is valued at 200,000 dollars, you will be paying an extra 120 dollars per year.
The increase is a result of a 83.5 million dollar bond package voters approved last November.
