Copperas Cove, TX — The Copperas Cove Police Department has begun an investigation into a local real estate company after reports of misapplication of fiduciary property.
Police began an investigating the Platinum Real Estate Company on April 29. Since the case began, the department has identified 42 victims. A press release stated, "The victims have reported that they signed contracts that list Platinum Real Estate as their property managers. The monies owed to them by Platinum Real Estate from their rental property and security deposits have not been received,"
Officers also believe work was completed on some of the rental properties but individuals were not compensated for their services.
The department says, there may be several other victims who have not come forward yet. Police are continuing to investigate the incidents and ask those who have been a victim of the real estate company to call the Copperas Cove Police Department at (254) 547-8222 ext. 6894 to speak with Detective Counter.
