BRYAN, TX — A College Station man accused of shooting Christopher Reeves after a robbery gone wrong will spend the next five years behind bars.
Robert Reese pleaded guilty last week to tampering with evidence after he tried to hide a gun used to kill Reeves.
Police say that Reeves and a friend went to Robert Reese's house on Holik Drive back in November with the intent to rob Reese of marijuana.
When Reeves went inside he was shot and later died from his wounds but because of Texas law, Reese was allowed to use deadly force during the robbery so he was sentenced for tampering with evidence.
Reese could be eligible for parole after just six months.
