A Rockdale woman is still recovering, after being hit by a drunk driver over the weekend.

According to Lieutenant J.D. Newlin, of the Rockdale Police Department, the accident occurred just after midnight, late Friday night. Joshlynn Price, 19, of Rockdale was going home from the Rockdale Fair, in the 300 block of Mill Street, in front of Miles Styles Barbershop. Price was pushing her twin one-year-old sons in a stroller. A driver allegedly did not see Price in the street and struck her with his vehicle. The stroller then went rolling a few feet down the road before it stopped and rested on its side.

Price was taken to the emergency room, along with her two sons. The boys were released quickly, however Price was taken to the emergency room at Scott and White Hospital for internal bleeding. Price was six months pregnant, and lost the baby due to the accident.

The driver of the vehicle, Mark Allen Talley, 55, of Rockdale was arrested and charged with DWI, third or more, as this was his third DWI. Newlin says the police department has turned the case over to the Milam County DA's office to possibly pursue intoxication manslaughter charges.
