Early morning crash leaves two dead and two others in the hospital

A Tuesday morning crash on Hwy 7 has left two people dead and two others in the hospital.

State Troopers responded to a report of the accident around 9:30 a.m. on Highway 7, just east of Marlin County.

According to Trooper D.L. Wilson, with the Department of Public Safety, a pickup heading eastbound on the highway lost control and slammed the passenger side of the vehicle into a tree.
John Patrick Stewart,19,of Dallas, and  Laura Ezinwa Onwudinanti, 21, of Grand Prairie both died in the crash.

Both victims were sitting on the right passenger side of the vehicle.

Megan Taylor Ritzi, 18, of Fort Worth, was taken to Baylor Scott & White in Temple and is listed in very critical condition.

The driver,Jacob Travis Hale, 21,of Fort Worth, was also taken to Baylor Scott & White and is listed in fair condition.
