WASHINGTON COUNTY, TX (KYLE) — An elderly man is killed in an early morning fire near Lake Somerville.

Authorities with the Washington County Sheriff's Office tell us the blaze broke out shortly after 3:00 this morning at a camper trailer off LBJ Drive.

When firefighters arrived, the trailer was already engulfed in flames.

The state fire marshall's office is investigating and authorities have not released the victim's identity.

A cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
