Father, son killed in Burleson County fire

On January 6, 2014 at approximately 11:30 pm, the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a structure fire on County Road 101 in Deanville.

Upon arrival, Caldwell and Deanville firefighters found the structure engulfed in flames. Upon further investigation, two deceased subjects were discovered in the residence. They were taken to the Travis County Medical Examiner for autopsy and identification. It was learned today that the bodies are identified as James Suehs, 70, from Caldwell and his son James Suehs Jr, 49, also from Caldwell. Preliminary autopsy results show the cause of death to be fire related.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

The State Fire Marshal's Office along with the Sheriff’s Office are continuing their investigation of this incident.
