Healthcare professionals are urging anyone who has not received the flu vaccine to go get one.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, every region in Texas has confirmed cases of the flu. And, the level of flu activity is high and increasing steadily.

Health experts say the best way to prevent getting the virus is to get vaccinated either by the nasal mist or through the flu shot. Practicing good hygiene, such as washing your hands frequently, also helps protect against spreading germs.
