Former U.S. Congressman from Texas back in court

Former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay is headed to court again in his fight against state criminal charges.

Tuesday's hearing is a step toward a possible trial for Mr. DeLay and two co-defendants.

They are accused of illegally giving corporate money in an attempt to elect Republicans to the texas legislature eight years ago.

If Delay is convicted, he could face five years to life in prison.

No trial dates have been set.
