Fort Hood, TX (KWKT) — Fort Hood officials released the name of a Soldier who died from injuries suffered from an all-terrain vehicle accident Wednesday, March 13.
On Wednesday, March 20, Specialist Eric Steven Bogner, 23, of Red Bluff, California, was pronounced dead by doctors at 6:48 p.m. at a hospital in Temple.
Begner entered the military in January 2008 as a motor transport operator. He was assigned to Company E, 15th Combat Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st calvary Division, since May 2011. He was deployed to Iraq as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom from May 2011 to November 2011.
Bogner's awards and decorations include three Army Achievement Medals, Army Good Conduct medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge and the Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver Wheeled Vehicles.
