BRYAN, Tx (KYLE) — A family trying to punish their daughter for acting out in school landed themselves behind bars for criminal negligence.
Police say a nine-year-old Bryan girl went to authorities after her parents: Shauna Burns and Adrian Robinson, her grandma Jaqueline Robinson and her grandmother's roommate, Larry Boyd, allegedly took punishing her too far.
The girl told police she would be asked questions by her grandmother and then held underwater repetitively for "acting out" in school.
All four are facing abandoning or endangering a child criminal negligence charges.
