COLLEGE STATION -- A College Station Freebirds manager is arrested for stealing travelers checks from a customer.

22-year-old Kenneth Hineman admitted to police he stole the checks after a customer accidentally left them at the Freebirds near Highway Six.

When he returned to collect them, they were missing.

Hineman was the on-duty manager at the time of the theft and denied taking them at first but later owned up to cashing the checks for money.
