Hawaiian Falls preparing for opening day
WACO -- Hawaiian Falls Water Park is just about ready for opening day.
But before that first splash on Memorial Day there are a few finishing touches to make. President of Hawaiian Falls, David Busch says, there's still one slide that needs to be pieced together as well as completing landscaping and putting up signs.
Otherwise, the park and staff are ready to open what they're calling the most beautiful water park yet.
"About a million people go to our existing parks up there and we'll be saying you haven't seen nothing till you've seen this Waco park. And quite honestly, this we think is the prettiest park we have," Busch said.
Hawaiian Falls hired 250 seasonal workers in Waco and they're hoping to attract 80,000 to 100,000 people from outside the city.
