Ink for Awareness takes place this Sunday in Waco

Friday, April 25, 2014 - 11:04am

Infamous Ink in Waco will host their second annual "Ink For Awareness" event this Sunday.

This fundraiser aims to bring about awareness of Autism. Last year, the more than $3,600 raised went toward sending 70 autistic kids to camp at Baylor's Autism Resource Clinic.

The event takes place at Infamous Ink, located at 933 Lake Air Drive, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. You can get a temporary or permanent autism themed tattoo for 30, 60, or 100 dollars.

"We're basically doing tattoos. All the proceeds, 100% is going to the donation. We're also doing raffles, give-a-ways. There's bounce houses for kids, food, live music. It's just an all day fun deal for all ages," said Infamous Ink Co-owner Zac Colbert.

Infamous Ink will also accept monetary donations if you don't wish to get a tattoo but would like to just join in the festivities.
