kILLEEN, TEXAS — A Killeen man is now in jail, after running for about nine months, in connection to a September 2013 shooting.
Marcus Leroy White was booked into the Bell County Jail on Thursday on multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond is set at $205,000. White was indicted on the charges in February this year.
According to police, the shooting happened at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Old Farm-to-Market Road 440. The victim was found with a gunshot wound to the left thigh. Officials say the victim told them he was at the complex when White pulled out a gun and told him to leave. The victim claims White then chased and shot at him. Another victim was found with a gunshot wound to the right leg and claimed White had also shot him. Both victims survived the shooting.
Police received a warrant for White's arrest, and have been searching for him ever since.
