Killeen animal officials review city snake ordinance
KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen Animal Advisory Committee has reviewed the city's current ordinance regarding venomous reptiles to look at what changes can be made.
Residents have asked that the city allow those who wish to have venomous snakes as pets to be allowed to do so. The committee agreed to allow these reptiles, but with certain restrictions. For example, the animals can't be longer than six feet when fully grown.
The committee will present motions they've approved to the city council for final approval.
