Chief Dennis Baldwin said, “We’ve seen mixed results with 2012’s crime rates compared to 2011. While any increase in crime is not good, Rapes and Robberies are of particular concern because of the seriousness of the crimes and the impact they have on victims. We continue to work to reduce the number of such crimes during 2013.

We are not where we want to be insofar as burglaries, but a crime rate drop of -28.89% in that category during 2012 is a significant reduction that clearly shows we’re on the right track.”
