Killeen, Texas (KWKT) — The Killeen Police Department will be hosting their 36th Citizen's Police Academy with classes beginning on March 3, 2014.
The classes will continue until May 19, 2014.
All classes will be held on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and one additional class on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
There will be a total of 12 weeks of instructin, icndluing presentations of the functions and operations of the departments various and administrative divisoins.
It is an educational and informative program that will allow citiznes the opportunity to learn about the issues that affect law enforcement efforts in Killeen.
Applications will be available at the Killeen Police Department beginning Monday, January 6, 2014, the deadline for applications will be Friday, February 28, 2014, at 5:00pm.
Applicants must agree to submit to a background check which includes a criminal history inquiry.
