KPD identifies homicide victim

KILLEEN, TX — Killeen police have now identified the 32-year-old man found dead in his apartment.
Police say Sean William Schumann appears to have died as a result of a homicide.
It happened in the the 100 block of west Anderson Street. Police were told there was a man who was unconscious and not breathing inside his apartment.
On arrival, officers were told by a co-worker that they were checking on the man because they had not heard from him and he had not shown up to work the day before. When officers went inside the apartment, they found the Schumann with apparent trauma to his head.
The man was pronounced dead at 7:14 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke. Cooke ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas. Detectives are awaiting the results to determine the victim's death.
