A Waco man was arrested after beating his 65-year-old father. Police say 19-year-old Michael Martinez hit his father after he refused to give him money.

Teen in drowing identified

The teen who drowned in Lake Waco Saturday has been identified as 17-year-old James Wren. Wren and a friend were both seen struggling while swimming, but only the friend made it to shore.

Shaver's charge reduced to misdemeaner

Country singer Billy Joe Shaver's felony charge has been reduced. 70-year-old Shaver now faces only a misdemeanor charge after illegally carrying a pistol into a bar and shooting Billy Coker.
