MADISONVILLE -- Madisonville Police are investigating a death over the weekend at a local motel.

We're told police were called to the Western Lodge off East Main Street Saturday evening in response to an altercation outside.

When they arrived they found a man unresponsive. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Police aren't releasing much information, pending the results of the autopsy, but they believe a fight may have occurred and one person is in custody.

No charges have been filed yet and homicide has not been ruled out.
