Man arrested for first murder of the year in Waco

Waco, Tx — The man police believe is responsible for the first murder this year in Waco has been arrested.
Aveaon Roshun Anderson, 21, faces murder and aggravated assault charges. Anderson was arrested in Duncanville in connection to a car-jacking case in Dallas. He is being held in the Duncanville City Jail on aggravated robbery and evading in a motor vehicle charges.
In April, Waco officers responded to a shooting, in the early morning hours, at 1301 West Waco Drive, at Eddies Smoke Shop. Officers discovered two males had been shot. Both were transported by ETMC to Hillcrest Hospital where one of the victims, Dhaodrique Eastland, 17, of Waco, was pronounced dead. Eastland had been shot in the upper torso.
The other victim, Rahideame Washington, 19, of Waco, was shot in his forearm.
This is the first recorded murder of the year in Waco.
Anderson has been on the run since the shooting. Police say Anderson will eventually be brought back to Waco.
