One man was arrested and police are still looking to make two arrests following the theft of a donation jar in Copperas Cove last month.

According to police, on November 19, three males entered the Fast Time Fina, located at 502 N. 1st Street, and stole the donation jar that had been placed there by the family of a former 34-year-old Copperas Cove resident who had recently passed away. The money collected was to be used to assist the family with funeral expenses.

During the investigation, two of the suspects were identified as Timothy Sedric Martin Blackwell and Mitchell Alan Martin. A warrant was issued for each, and Mitchell Alan Martin was subsequently arrested on December 12. Timothy Sedric Martin Blackwell has not yet been arrested but is being sought. The third suspect has been identified and a warrant is pending.

The Copperas Cove Police Department is continuing to investigate this case and is also asking for information that could assist with the arrest of Timothy Sedric Martin Blackwell. If seen, do not attempt to apprehend Blackwell yourself. Information can be made anonymously through the Copperas Cove Crime Stoppers tip number (254) 547-1111 or www.tipsubmit.com. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000.00 in cash for clues if your information leads to an arrest and prosecution. Remember no one will ever ask your name.
