BRAZOS COUNTY — One Brazos County man is lucky to be alive tonight after being shot at inside his truck on New Year's day.

Police say 29-year-old Wesley Childers admitted to deliberately firing a gun into an occupied truck Tuesday morning at a home off Shady Creek Drive.

It's unclear what started the dispute or how the duo knows each other but Childers allegedly shot out the tires and the rear window with a rifle.

He was arrested and charged with deadly conduct.
