WACO -- The man accused of  beating up a Waco store clerk and robbing him has been arrested.

But police say they're still looking for a second suspect.

23-year-old Quincy Ramone Allen of Waco was arrested on a warrant for the robbery and assault of a store clerk of a discount tobacco store in the 1900 block of Park Lake.

The incident happened on June 21 when the clerk said he saw two black males standing outside the store acting suspicious.

"He went out to check on them. They immediately started attacking him, knocked him down to the ground, beat him, stomped on him while he was down on the ground and ended up taking his wallet from him," said Sgt. Patrick Swanton, Waco P.D.

The victim was beaten so severely he had to have his jaw wired shut.

Police say they are searching for the other man involved in the attack.
