Man dies after stabbing at Club Alazon
Waco, Tx — A Sunday morning altercation at Club Alazon leaves one man dead.
Anthony Levell Degrate, 24, of Waco, was pronounced dead at Hillcrest Hospital after being stabbed in his upper torso several times.
According to Waco Police Department, an argument between the victim and suspect started in the parking lot of Club Alazon around 2:15 a.m.
Police say witnesses told them there was an altercation involving two vehicles in the parking lot of 6512 West Waco Drive. The vehicles then reportedly pulled onto the access road of Highway 84, stopping at a red light. The suspect, who is believed to be a Hispanic male, got out of his vehicle and approached Degrate, who was a passenger in the second vehicle.
Degrate allegedly got out of the vehicle and became involved in a physical fight with the suspect. During the fight, Degrate was stabbed several times in the upper torso. The suspect fled back to his vehicle and left the scene.
When officers arrived, they found Degrate lying on the roadway in the 6400 block of West Waco Drive. Degrate was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Degrate's body has been taken to Dallas for an autopsy.
So far, no arrests have been made.
