Man found shot to death in Killeen residence

KILLEEN -- Early this morning Killeen Police were called out to the 3400 block of Barcelona Drive after neighbors heard gun shots.

"When they went in there they were clearing the residence, securing it, they found a male inside the back bedroom that was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," Carroll Smith with the Killeen Police Department said.

An initial investigation reveals around 2 a.m. a person forced their way into building 3406 A, went to the back room and shot the 31-year-old man inside possibly while he was asleep.

But neighbors we spoke with, who were afraid to go on camera, say this house is known for having drug problems.

Police say the shooting was possibly narcotics related.

This isn't the first time police have been out the property.

One neighbor told us the inside has been transformed into essentially a motel with rooms for daily rent.

But Killeen Police say they need your help to get the killer behind bars.

"Problem is we don't have anything on the suspects. We're asking that any body that may know anything about this case, give us a call no matter how small the amount of information it is," Smith said.
